I’m Leanne Howes, a 24 year old with a passion for photos! Ever since I could remember, I always wanted to have a job where I’m doing something I love and creating art, instead of having a desk job or any typical 9 to 5. My journey behind a camera actually started with videography back in 2018. I worked as an employee and partner in Florida, where I was born and raised. After getting married and moving to South Carolina in 2020, I decided I wanted to switch focus to photos, and was ready to go out on my own. Thus, Leanne Elan Photography was started! 

The name Leanne Elan actually goes way back, before photography was even my direction in life. At first, you may think Elan is my middle name; it’s not. In fact, Leanne is my middle name, and I never use my first name, so that idea as a business name was out the window. But back when I was 9 or 10, and creating my own email, I had to think of a good name for a YouTube channel I so badly wanted to start (I never did, so don’t look for it.) I eventually found the word “Elan”, a french word meaning energy, style, and enthusiasm. Not only did that work well with the name Leanne, but it also (in my opinion) describes me perfectly!

I absolutely love what I do, because I get to uplift others with my work. Making other feel confident in their skin is so important to me. Even more, making a memory last a lifetime is my dream come true! So that is what I want my photos to encapsulate, a memory that makes you smile for the rest of your life.
